I am so excited to be blogging about this latest Beauty Crush!

If you’ve walked past a Bath & Body Works‘ store recently, you may have noticed a gorgeous, sultry & mysterious fragrance that just gave you this sense of warmth and sensuality… well that was most probably down to the new Forever Midnight collection products which are currently showcased!

Yours truly was fortunate enough to be attending the official press launch a couple of weeks ago at their store in The Dubai Mall. A complete Bath & Body Works virgin, I was super impressed to discover high quality, fabulous smelling and beautifully packaged products! The store is a ‘beautista’s’ heaven what with all the yummy candles, fragrances and bath beauty bits.

The Forever Midnight fragrance is the next chapter in the bestselling Forever fragrance range.

Forever Midnight - EDP

This new scent was created by master perfumers (IFF Perfumers Carlos Benaim, Jean Marc Chaillan, and Clemente Gavarry), and executed using only the rarest of ingredients (plum nectar, midnight jasmine, vanilla orchid & a rush of expensive camarel – YUM!) all exquisitely packaged up in stunning bottle! This one will ensure you do not go unnoticed ;)…

The collection includes an equally gorgeous smelling shower gel and super rich and creamy body cream (and the scent lasts forever!)!

#SalesCrush: Best of beauty sales

Alright ladies, get your credit cards ready, the SALES are ON! Yay! And to make the job easier, I’ve browsed through my favourite beauty websites and shared my top 3 must-buy products for each!

Enjoy!  The clue is in the name with this one! One of my favourite sites which stocks a vast array of ‘cult’ products! My first one has got to be the Coconut & Hibiscus Oil by Ushvani (was £38 and is now £19!). Deliciously hydrating and packed with Vitamin C this little gem can be used all-over the body and hair! PLUS it is said to help prevent stretch marks!

Next is one of the best moisturising creams ever made! The Bliss Tripple Oxygen and Vitamin C Energizing Cream (from £46 to £18.40 = a huge bargain!). I don’t need to tell what an amazing product for oily/dehydrated skin this is and now at a great price!

Last but not least, another ‘cult’ products which I’ve been meaning to try for ages, the Dr Brandt Pores no More Pore Thing (was £39 now £23.40)-  a revolutionary pore-tightening solution that helps reduce the appearance of enlarged pores whilst tackling excess sebum. Miracle in a bottle?! Another amazing website where you can find almost all of the luxury make-up & beauty brands! The first item in my shopping card has got to be the Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight Kit discounted from£96 to now £48! Next is the classic Laura Mercier Body & Bath Luxe Quarter – Creme Brulee (was GBP60 and now GBP30!) and finally the Diptyque Eau de Toilettes are now half price which is amazing! My favourite: The Diptyque Philosykos which now sells at £34!

Selfridges &Co I used to spend hours and hours walking around the store… I really miss being in London when it’s the sales but hey, thanks to the Internet AND of course, Aramex Shop & Ship, I can shop their collections, in the comfort of my living room! What’s in my shopping cart then? Well first of, the Clinique Black Honey Beauty Set which was £25 and is now £16.50! Next up, the Estee Lauder Even Skin Tone Essential Gift Set, now at £32 (just cos I’ve always wanted to try these out) and finally, the gorgeous smelling La Petite Robe Noire de Guerlain gift set at only £47 instead of £83!

#PerfumeCrush: The Body Shop’s new White Musk Smoky Rose Fragrance collection


Yesterday I attended the  launch of The Body Shop‘s new fragrance, White Musk Smoky Rose at their flagship store in Mall of the Emirates, in celebration of the brand’s 30th anniversary. The event was hosted by Sultan Al Habtoor, franchisee partner of The Body Shop in the UAE and his son. Sophie Labbé, the ‘nose’ behind the ground breaking new scent, also attended as part of the celebrations.

For 24 hours only from the 8th October, 10am-11pm, and for the delight of consumers across the UAE, the flagship store has been transformed into a White Musk Smoky Rose Wonderland. Customers’ senses will be stimulated as they are taken on a journey of The Body Shop new signature fragrance and they will be challenged to ‘dare to wear’. An engraver will be in store to personalise all purchases of the new fragrance and customers will have the chance to win lots of gifts with purchase.

#PerfumeCrush: My favourite fragrances

I just realised that I haven’t talked about perfume in ages which is strange since I never ever leave the house without a good spritz of one of my favourite fragrances!

In fact, I have 4 which I wear every day of week. All 4 perfumes are actually very different and so I wear them for different occasions.

Favorite Fragrances - September 2013

For everyday/work meetings, I usually reach for my Prose by Ajmal scent. It’s very light and fresh and just reminds me of when I was young! In fact, this fragrance is aimed at the 16 to 25 years old (OK, you may laugh here!) BUT in fairness, it smells deliciously fruity and why not?! I’m still very much 22 in my head so… whatever!

If I am out shopping or meeting friends up for lunch/brunch or spending a day out with Mr M, I reach for my La Petite Robe Noire from Guerlain. This one is a very girlie fragrance, with lovely floral notes but still light enough and fresh. It doesn’t last very long in this hot & humid weather so I do have to carry the bottle in my bag and apply regular top ups but I really like it :)

Now when I go out in the evening or have a more formal day-time function to attend, then it’s Candy by Prada! Now this one, I LOOOOVE! It’s super sweet (hence the name) and lasts for ever. A couple of spritz and you’re set.

Last but not least, Chanel Coco Noir. This one was quite an investment and so I reserve it for very special occasion or when I want to make a  bit more of a statement. This is my ‘grown-up’ perfume ;). It is just divine. Strong but not too strong it gives you a headache. Classy but not too classy like the original Coco. It is a sure way to make a long lasting impression!

#PerfumeCrush: Smell ‘gorge’ for a cause!



To coincide with the 25th anniversary of DAVIDOFF Cool Water, this summer will see the worldwide launch of Love the Ocean 2; the new campaign that supports the National Geographic Pristine Seas in its mission to identify, study and protect fragile marine ecosystems across the world.

This partnership between DAVIDOFF Cool Water and National Geographic embarks on its second year with a new initiative.  Launching July 1, limited edition sleeved packs on both the male and female fragrances invite consumers to connect with the ocean.

For every Cool Water fragrance purchase made 10 000 square meters of ocean will be preserved. A “like” on the DAVIDOFF Cool Water Facebook page, and a further 5000 square meters will be protected.

On pack QR codes will provide access to an underwater world at an interactive and educational platform allowing people to join forces and help save the oceans.

Highlights include an immersive game with underwater footage that will challenge gamers to identify the many marine species in need of urgent protection. Players will have the possibility to win a ticket on a National Geographic adventure trip for ocean lovers.

Love the Ocean 2 will be a highly visible campaign, benefiting from 360° support in print, TV, and digital media. Paul Walker is the face of this new campaign and spokesman for DAVIDOFF Cool Water. He is a Hollywood actor with a passion for the oceans and a background in marine biology.
