#MakeUpCrush: Lovely Me:ex by The Face Shop

Oh how much I love to discover a new make-up brand and one that’s amazing!! Well I did just that with natural cosmetics brand The Face Shop make-up range Lovely Me:ex!

I’ve tried out the following 3 products and actually loved them all! Check these little beauty out:

LOVELY Me:ex Pastel Cushion Blusher in 02 Coral Cushion

My absolute favourite one has got to be that super cute little blusher! From the girlie packaging to the beautiful ‘coraly’ colour which works even so well on my skin tone! The fluffy little puff applicator is a dream too :)

Lovely Me:ex My Lips Eat Cherry Aqua tint

Never been much of a lip tint fan, just because I never really know how to apply it, how to wear it… I do also suffer from dry lips and forever applying moisturising lip balm. However, I did try this one out and totally loved it! It gave my lips that deep sultry red colour and when I apply my (transparent) lip balm over it, the colour doesn’t bulge. Check.

Lovely Me:ex Catch My Eye Line in 01 Black

My least favourite only just because I am not the greatest at applying eye liner BUT a very good product never the less! This is a really lovely eye pen, easy to apply and the little smudger at the end makes it a super versatile product. I just really need to learn how to use it properly ;)!

Have you tried any make up products from The Face Shop? What do you think?

#FashionCrush: The GAP knit that made my Winter hols all the more warmer

Of course in Dubai, Winter really means, Summer, only just a little chillier. But in Europe, in France in particular it means Winter. I spent a couple of weeks home in the South of France over the Christmas Holidays and because I hadn’t had a proper Winter in 2 years, I made sure I was prepared to face the minus temperatures.

A quick look around the shops and I ended up in Gap where I found this beautiful grey wholly jumper which felt warm and cosy! And it did not disappoint! I probably wore it every day (or almost!) and, paired with a little thermal vest top, it kept me warm throughout!

I also picked up a couple of pair of winter socks in Gap which, again, I wore to death as they really kept my feet snug inside my boots.

I still managed to catch a terrible cold and a bit of a bronchitis BUT all looking stylish!

#NailCrush: I nailed it at Nbar Ibn Battuta!

If you follow me on Instagram you will probably have noticed I do tend to take pictures of my nails quite a lot! I do love nails… I just think polished, well-groomed, coloured nails are the epitome of femininity! And seeing by the number of nail salons around Dubai I’m not the only one!

IMG_3881 For me it’s important to find a place where I feel relaxed and confortable and where my nails are looked after in an impeccable manner. Every time. I do like consistency so… I finally found a place where the quality is consistent, the ambiance is fun, the choice of polishes and colours extensive and that place is the Nbar at my local mall, Ibn Battuta!

After a 2-week long holiday in France, by -5C, my hands and nails were looking worse for wear so off I went hoping the girls at Nbar could somehow salvage my dry, brittled nails.

I decided to try out their Shellac Manicure, said to not be as damaging as Gelish to the nail and to still last for a couple of weeks.

The colour selection is pretty amazing and it did take me a few minutes to make my mind up! They also have this super cute wall of inspiration with lots of different nail art designs… I’ll have to try of these next time for sure 😉

In the end I picked up a lovely dark browny plum colour which I love and thought would be perfect for the winter season!

The whole process took about 1hr and I left with hands & nails looking FAB! The girls were super nice and I had a lot of fun.

Will defo return and can really vouch for this place!

#FashionCrush: Mix it up with Nayomi PJ’s

I must confess to a weird habit! I never keep my clothe on when I am at home! OK, that sounded a bit… dodgy I get it. What I mean is, I don’t keep my daytime clothes on but instead slip into a comfy outfit instead: track pants and a t-shirt, leggings, pyjamas… but then these aren’t the most stylish are they?

Well, I stumbled upon Nayomi‘s new range of pjs which I thought looked both comfy & snug but also stylish! Now proud owner of 2 pairs which I can, again, mix and match so effectively I now have 4 different fashionable yet super cosy ‘at-home’ outfits!!

Perfect for those nights in!

Check out the collection below: really cool, young, funky pieces…

In stores now. Check out their website (here), they have a whole load of lovely lingerie 😉

#TreatmentCrush: Guinot Hydrating Facial at Glow Spa & Salon

Another month, another treatment! This time I tried out the Guinot Hydradermie Hydration Treatment at Glow Spa & Salon in Jumeirah (Opposite Sunset Mall).

Being French I am of course familiar with Guinot‘s skincare products but gotta admit I had never tried their actual treatments so was glad to a. renew with the brand and b. try out one of their facial.

I can tell you, I was not disappointed!

_36A2014First of all, the spa. WOW! I loved the decor, loved the atmosphere and the team was super duper lovely & welcoming. It’s the little thing I know!!

My therapist, Ellen, took me on a tour of the facilities. They really have it all covered from the hair stations, nail room & treatment cabins, this is truly a one-stop shop for all your beauty requirements! You could actually spend a whole in there easy!!

The facial treatment itself was your usual (but super efficient) formula: double cleanse/exfoliation/extraction/cleanse/mask/conditioning.

But what I felt was different it the extraction… now I know this isn’t the most glamorous part of the treatment however I’m afraid to say it is the most efficient! And my therapist was amazing, removed all of those nasty little black-heard and my skin has now been super clear ever since!

The Guinot products are pretty amazing too. Smelled and felt great AND my skin didn’t turn all red for hours. Bonus!

Make sure you visit Glow Salon & Spa, I promise you a super warm and relaxed environment and of course, all of your beauty needs cared for under one single roof!!
